Who we are
Ace TMUA is operated by AceIt Studios. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to AceIt Studios. For questions about this policy or your information, email aceitstudios0@gmail.com.
02
Information we handle
Information you provide
- Account information: your email address, name, authentication provider and account identifier when you create or connect an account.
- Study profile: information such as your target university, target TMUA score, intended exam sitting, predicted grades, chosen study days and reminder time.
- Public profile: the public nickname, optional bio and profile appearance you choose. When you use ranked or social features, your public nickname, bio, avatar, target university and predicted grades may be shown to other signed-in users. Do not include contact details or other sensitive information in public fields.
- Community-safety information: the report reason and optional details you submit when reporting another account. Reports include the relevant account, feature or match context and a snapshot of the public profile content visible at the time of the report.
- Support messages: the contents of emails and any details you choose to send when asking for help or giving feedback.
Information created through use of the app
- Learning activity: completed lessons, practice answers, mock attempts, scores, timestamps, study duration and saved in-progress sessions.
- Ranked and social activity: matchmaking and match records, ratings, wins and losses, average answer times, leaderboard positions, friend relationships and requests, match invitations, study nudges, referral progress and the accounts you block.
- Moderation records: report status, the moderator who reviewed it, any action taken, an internal response note and review timestamps. These records are limited to authorised moderators.
- Subscription information: product, entitlement, purchase status and expiry information supplied by Apple, RevenueCat or Stripe. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
- Technical information: our service providers may process limited device, app, network and log information, including IP address, where needed to provide authentication, syncing, fraud prevention, purchases and service security.
An account is required to use the current Ace TMUA web and mobile apps. Limited setup or study information may also be stored locally on your device or browser so Ace TMUA can preserve your current session and sync it with your account.
03
How we use information
We use information to:
- create, authenticate and maintain your account;
- save and sync your profile, lessons, practice and mock results;
- operate ranked matchmaking, leaderboards, friendships, invitations, nudges and referral rewards;
- display the public profile and ranked information described above to other signed-in users when you take part in those features;
- personalise study targets, progress views and optional reminders;
- provide, verify, restore and manage Premium access;
- respond to support requests and review question feedback;
- filter public profile text, receive and investigate reports, apply blocks, enforce our community rules and prevent misuse;
- protect the app, investigate faults and maintain service security; and
- comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
Study reminders are scheduled locally through your device only after you choose to enable them and grant notification permission. The app continues to work if you decline permission. You can disable study reminders at any time from your Profile in the app or disable notifications in your device settings.
04
Our legal bases
Where UK or European data-protection law applies, we rely on:
- Contract: to provide the account, syncing, practice, ranked, social and subscription features you request.
- Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain and improve the service, answer support requests, moderate public content, investigate reports, prevent cheating or abuse and protect users, where those interests do not override your rights.
- Consent: where you choose to enable notifications or where consent is otherwise required. You may withdraw notification permission from your Profile in the app or through your device settings.
- Legal obligation: where records must be kept or information disclosed to meet applicable law.
06
How long we keep information
We keep account and learning data while your account is active and for as long as reasonably needed to provide Ace TMUA. Ranked, social, block, report and moderation records are kept while needed to operate community features, investigate and document safety concerns, prevent repeated abuse and resolve disputes. Information is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer required, subject to limited backup cycles and any legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution obligations.
Information stored locally on your device remains until you clear the app’s storage or remove the app. Support emails may be retained while needed to resolve the request and maintain an appropriate record.
In-app account deletion removes the account and associated cloud profile, learning, ranked, social, block, report and entitlement records from the active service. Limited copies may remain for a short period in protected backups, and we may retain information separately where reasonably necessary to meet legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, safety or dispute-resolution obligations.
07
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your information, and to receive a portable copy. You may also withdraw consent and complain to your local data-protection authority.
- Change your profile and public-profile fields from within the app.
- Report an account, block it from public and social interaction, and review or unblock accounts through Profile → Community controls.
- Decline notification permission or disable study reminders later from your Profile in the app or through your device settings.
- Delete your account through Profile → Account → Delete account.
- Manage or cancel an iPhone subscription through your App Store account, or a web subscription through Settings → Manage Premium in the web app.
- Email aceitstudios0@gmail.com to ask us to delete your email or make another privacy request.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Deleting an Ace TMUA account does not cancel a subscription, which must be managed separately through Apple or the web subscription portal, depending on where you purchased.
08
Children
Ace TMUA is intended for students preparing for university admissions. It is not directed to children under 13. New users must confirm that they are at least 13 before creating an account, and existing users must complete the same declaration before opening ranked, referral or social features. We record only the resulting eligibility status on the device and do not ask for a date of birth. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.
Public profiles and social features are intended to support study and friendly competition. Students should use a nickname rather than putting a full real name, contact details or other sensitive information in public fields. Public profile text is subject to filtering, reporting, blocking and moderator review.
09
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information, including authenticated access and access controls for cloud-stored user data. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10
International transfers
Our providers may process information in countries outside your own. Where required, we rely on recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions, contractual protections or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
